History

According to Abbreviationfinder, 15,000 years ago, nomadic hunters came to Colorado; Arapajo, Comanche, and Kiowa peoples migrated to the pastures. Development

Denver was selected in 1970 to host the Olympic Games of Winter 1976, coinciding with the celebration of the centenary of Colorado, but in November 1972 the citizens of the state of Colorado voted against the use of public funds to support the Olympics. Denver thus has the notoriety to have become the only city that has refused to celebrate an Olympiad after being elected, which has made a subsequent new election difficult.
