Most known for being the manufacturer of the Vodafone Indie operator terminals, the Chinese company ZTE has presented today a new terminal, the ZTE Link, coming to join the catalogue of Telstra mobile.
The ZTE Link It is a smartphone ‘ Low cost’ hence has numerous benefits but some of them play in a League that is very different from large multimedia smartphones by all known. Physically, the Link has discrete dimensions of 113 × 56.5 × 13.8 mm and weighs 130 grams. Its white plastic design very reminiscent of terminals as the HTC Magic, although all its frontal controls are tactile except keys hang and accept call.
The display of the ZTE Link It is a LCD with 2.8 inches diagonally and resolution 320 × 240 pixels. Obviously, touch, but resistive, and their response is not as good as the capacitive or even other resistive seen in the market. Manage menus with the stylus that brings is a help, but Android is not a system specifically designed to be used as well. This is probably the worst defect of this terminal.
Internally, the ZTE Link It integrates a QSQ Qualcomm 7227 600 mHZ processor, 100 MB of internal storage and port of MicroSD cards with a capacity for up to 32 GB. The level of connectivity is good, and includes HSDPA 3.6Mbs, WiFi and Bluetooth. It also integrates FM radio and A-GPS with support for Google Maps. The camera it’s no wonder. Take pictures to 3.2 megapixels and video at QVGA (320 × 240 pixels) resolution.
ZTE Link, an Android already available
The terminal has been installed Android version 2.1 (Eclair). Assumes that you can update to Froyo or Gingerbread, but from the company have not detailed us how or when these updates occur.
What if it is certain that is the ZTE Link It is now available on the website of Telstra. The operator Telia Sonera in Spain offers it exclusively from zero euros for portability between contracts, or from 19 euros migration card to contract or new high. Without being the last word, this new phone of the Chinese company is a cheap option for those who want to start in Android or switch to Telstra
