We cannot say for sure how much I sold the Nexus 7 produced in partnership by Asus and Google, because it has not provided any official figure, which we hope to see during next Monday’s event; then we see some traffic data on the web to try to understand the evolution of Android in the industry, with an eye to the little Google tablet.
First of all, unsurprisingly, l’ iPad dominates unchallenged on the market, as it generates the 91% of web traffic. Secondly, research shows for the month of July, the month in which the Nexus 7 had been sold only in a few countries (in Italy, for example, had not yet been put up for sale) and hence must be taken with a grain of salt, because surely today the percentage would be greater.
In that month, however, there is an exponential growth in the Nexus 7 (+133%) that stands as the 0.33% of the total global web traffic on tablets; head of Android tablets will square the series Galaxy tablet, while followed by Acer Iconia.
It is good to emphasize that these are not sales figures, but only of use on the web, but that show, if there was still a need, the weakness of the Android platform in the industry, further threatened by the arrival of the iPad Mini and Windows tablets; just a Nexus 10 and Android 4.2 to remedy it?
