Asus Eee Pad MeMo 171 Review

The history of the Asus Eee Pad MeMo was extremely tortuous, whereas we have heard for the first time in January 2011 at CES in Las Vegas and that even in Italy we never seen; not only that, but the two models it seems that one has been abandoned (the MeMo 370T) to become the Nexus tablet or into something that resembles him.

Rather curious is therefore find it now on sale in Taiwan, because we are basically dealing with a last year’s model in all respects, except that in the price. According to liuxers, the tablet is equipped with Honeycomb (but Asus has promised to upgrade it to Ice Cream Sandwich) and equipped with a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm CPU, too bad it costs about € 450 (well $592).

The same impression is confirmed by the reviewer below that MeMo 171 is “anachronistic”, too bulky (despite) and too expensive.

The thing a bit sorry because in theory the Tablet from Asus had the potential, enhanced by the presence of the stylus and the Bluetooth radio MeMic that allows you to listen to music and to make/receive calls, taking advantage of the 3 g module present in the tablets.

A tablet that could stand out from the crowd, a prerogative which Asus seems particularly attentive, but instead will fall easily into oblivion. If from the ashes (or those of one of his “relative”) born, though the Nexus tablet, maybe the sacrifice will be served some purpose.
